Roman Reigns defeated Sami Zayn in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, winning the men’s Crown Jewel Championship for the first time in his career and closing a four-match show that produced two title changes and one of the quickest cash-ins in recent memory.

The eighth annual Crown Jewel took place at the ANB Arena in Riyadh on 7 November, after the event was moved from its originally planned outdoor stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District to the smaller indoor venue. The show was shown on a delayed broadcast rather than live, which meant results circulated online before many viewers had seen the action.

Reigns, the World Heavyweight Champion, faced Zayn, the WWE Champion, in a champion-versus-champion contest to decide the men’s Crown Jewel title. The two men were once allies in The Bloodline, and their shared history shaped the match from the opening bell, with Zayn drawing loud support from the Riyadh crowd as the challenger.

Zayn pushed Reigns throughout, at one point appearing to have the champion beaten while the referee was down. Reigns recovered, hit the spear, and secured the pinfall. The two men then embraced in the ring in a show of mutual respect, a moment that drew one of the biggest reactions of the night.

Stratton’s cash-in steals the night

The most dramatic moment of the evening came earlier, when Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

Chelsea Green had moments earlier beaten Liv Morgan to win the women’s Crown Jewel Championship, countering Morgan’s Oblivion into a roll-up for the upset. Green’s celebration did not last long. After Morgan attacked her, Stratton ran to the ring, appeared at first to come to Green’s aid, and then struck her with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Stratton made the cash-in official on Green rather than Morgan, hit her finishing move, the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and won the title in under 10 seconds, the quickest title loss in the championship’s history. She left the ring as the new WWE Women’s Champion, with the Crown Jewel title and ring also in her hands.

The cash-in gave Crown Jewel its second title change of the night and set up a new chapter in the women’s division, with Stratton now holding the championship she had been waiting to challenge for since winning the briefcase.

Tag titles change hands

The World Tag Team Championship also changed hands in Riyadh. Penta and Je’Von Evans defeated Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, known as The Vision, to win the titles.

The finish came after Oba Femi intervened at ringside to deal with Bronson Reed, clearing the way for Penta and Evans to score the pin. It was a significant win for the new champions, who took the titles from one of the company’s most heavily pushed pairings.

The result added to a night of change across the card, with three of the four matches producing a new champion or a new titleholder of some kind.

Rhodes outlasts Orton in the opener

The show opened with Cody Rhodes defeating Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match, a brutal contest that set the tone for the evening.

Rhodes and Orton, two of the company’s most established stars, fought around the ringside area and through the arena before Rhodes finally kept Orton down for the referee’s count of ten. The match earned strong reviews and gave the Riyadh crowd an explosive start to the night.

A night of changes in Riyadh

Crown Jewel has become a fixture of WWE’s international calendar, and this year’s edition underlined how much of the company’s biggest storytelling now happens outside the United States. The event aired on ESPN in the United States and on Netflix elsewhere, and the four-match card kept the focus on the company’s top names.

For Reigns, the win adds another major title to a career already defined by championship reigns, and it closes a chapter on his long-running story with Zayn, at least for now. For Stratton, the cash-in turns a long-held opportunity into a championship reign of her own.

Crown Jewel also underlined how live events have become a central part of the entertainment calendar, alongside record-breaking cinema releases such as The Odyssey and global box-office hits such as Ramayana. WWE’s next major event will now carry the consequences of a night in Riyadh that changed the championship picture in three divisions at once. Bleacher Report’s live coverage and Fightful’s full results carry the complete match-by-match breakdown.
